Summary of the year 2020 and the season's greetings

Koichiro's mother, Chieko, passed away of old age on May 13th

This year, 2020 was a difficult and complexed year with the spread of corona infections around the world.

For me, not only Corona, but also it was the biggest thing in this year that my mother, Chieko, passed away of old age on May 13th.
She was 92 years old.

I was wondering whether to reveal this out here, but it's still important, so I'd like to add it to everyone who sees the 2020 summary on this page.

My mother started suffering from dementia in 2014.
She was diagnosed with Lewy body dementias, and for a while I think there was a difficult time when the real world and the dream world were mixed.
The last meaningful conversation I had was shortly before I was assigned to Hokkaido in August 2016.
Since then, my mother has been in a dream. She woke up, ate, and slept again while talking in her sleep all the time.

Every time I went to see my mother, I think I had a conversation with my mother's soul.
I have no regrets.
I learned everything from my mother and I had a conversation.
I've done it. My mother also survived as much as she could.
My mother's body is no longer on earth, but my mother's soul is in my heart forever.
I am proud of my mother who survived so much.
Why are we, me and my wife, so strong?
That's because my mother is in us forever.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you who have been close to my mother.
It's a difficult time, but I hope you all have a good year.
